TravlFi sells mobile internet to people who live and work on the road, mostly RVers. Customers buy a hotspot or router, then activate a pay-as-you-go data plan. The store was split across two BigCommerce sites, one for the shop and one for everything else, and TravlFi wanted one Shopify store on one domain.
Our audit showed the split was a customer problem too. A shopper reading about coverage on the blog had to cross into a separate site to buy, and inside the shop there was room to bring product information forward. So the project became a rebuild of the core shopping journey on a new platform, customer portal included.
Before launch we mapped every old URL on both domains to its new Shopify path, so the platform move and the domain merge happened in one step and the search rankings built on both sites came with them.

The 40,000 orders and their customers moved across last, right before launch, once the rest of the store was stable. Installed apps, Shopify’s own settings and the migration tool can each email a customer during an import, so we switched off all three before a single record moved.
The theme carries TravlFi’s brand across every page, built to the same standard as any That Works build, with each layout choice made on what helps a shopper find the right device and buy it. The team can edit all of it themselves, which saves development hours on every change.
A migration is two jobs. Design, structure and content can move early and get fixed in staging. Customer records, order history and redirects are the parts that fail in public, so they move last, with every channel that can email a customer switched off.
