MAGIC is a London startup behind the MAGIC Mirror, a smart fitness mirror with an AI personal trainer that checks your form and counts your reps in real time. Having raised significant investment, they brought in a new CMO, who brought us in to work on the brand.
The store we inherited had been built by an offshore team. It was slow, buggy and had never been optimised to convert. For a premium piece of home tech, where people need to trust the product before they spend, patching it wasn’t going to be enough. The right call was a full rebuild.
We took on all of it: 3D renders of the mirror, the design and the development. The new store was built for speed and around how people actually shop for a product like this.
A fitness mirror is a high-ticket purchase, and nobody spends that much on something they still have questions about. We’ve built for plenty of high-AOV brands, and the rule is the same every time: every question a buyer might have, and every feature they might care about, gets answered on the page before they have to ask. So the store explains the mirror in full. It covers how the AI coaching works, what’s in the hardware and what you’re signing up for. Social proof backs up every claim: real customers training with it, reviews from people who’ve bought it, and influencers putting it to use.
When MAGIC was ready for the US, we moved the store over to Shopify, set it up and internationalised it for the US market. MAGIC has kept growing there and now has more than 18,000 paying community members across all 50 states.
We still look after the site today on our Growth Retainer, so it keeps improving as MAGIC grows.
